MT86VD(w)+MTD20 2D Scan Engine not only delivers snappy scanning performance but also provides versatility needed in various applications. It comes in two versions: the MT86VD+MTD20 long range version and the MT86VDw+MTD20 wide angle version. Both versions blend powerful scanning performance for portable and fixed devices applications.
Miniaturized Low-Profile Imager
MT86VD(w)+MTD20 2D scan engine contains a low profile imager MT86VD(w). With compact size of W23.5 x L10.7 x H6.8 mm and weight of only 1.9 gram, MT86VD(w) can be integrated into the most space-constrained products and also capable of being mounted from the top or bottom, thus providing the flexibility of product design.
Targeting Barcode with Laser Aimer
A visible laser aimer with red cross-hair aiming pattern is projected by MT86VD(w) 2D imager to help user target barcodes with ease. Programmable by both configuration barcodes and serial commands, the brightness of laser aimer can be adjusted according to user preferences and environmental conditions. Compliant to Class 1 of Laser Safety Standard, the laser aimer of MT86VD(w) 2D imager is safe under all conditions of normal use and causes no harm to the naked eyes.
Outstanding Performance from Near to Far
With scanning distance up to 50cm and auto-adaptive snappy scanning performance, MT86VD+MTD20 2D long range scan engine provides outstanding performance for portable devices in logistics and warehouse applications where barcodes are likely to be scanned from a long distance. Integrated with a high resolution lens and a mega-pixel image sensor, MT86VDw+MTD20 2D wide angle scan engine supports 3mil high density barcode as well as close distance readability, suitable for applications such as ticketing and manufacturing.
Mobile-Friendly Scanning
MT86VD(w)+MTD20, with enhanced optical design and latest decode algorithm, virtually scans all 1D and 2D barcodes on any surface, either paper-based label or mobile phone display. With MT86VD(w)+MTD20 2D scan engine integrated into mobile device, users may expand their business into many new applications such as eCoupon, eTicket, Digital ID cards and mobile payments.
Bi-directional Communication
A set of commands is supported to enable the host device to configure all the functions of MT86VD(w)+MTD20 thereby fulfilling dynamic configurations demand. To help user grasp and understand the bi-directional communication more quickly, the Windows®-based Ez Utility® configuration utility is provided as a user-friendly platform where testing MT86VD(w)+MTD20 2D scan engine can be done in a much easier way.
